Satellite Conical Horn Antennas for High Interference Rejection
Return to AFC Home Page
Superior Performance Where
No Other Antenna Will Work
AFC's conical horn antennas are designed for superior side lobe rejection. Due to their excellent side lobe performance, which exceeds FCC's satellite dish requirements by 25 to 40 dB, our conical horn's operate in high terrestrial interference areas where parabolic antennas fail to work.
AFC's CH-10 and world largest conical horn, CH-14, provide advantages long recognized by the telephone terrestrial common carrier network. Conical horns exhibit very sharp spacial filter selectivity, grabbing signals from a specific pointing direction and rejecting others. In addition, conical horns exhibit very low noise temperature. The lower noise temperature improves G/T signal and picture quality typically 3 dB. Our rugged, proven conical horn antennas come with dual polarized feed and optional motorized pedestal.
Features
- Maximum interference rejection with 25 to 40 dB better side lobes than parabolic antennas
- CH-10 or CH-14 conical horn antenna with 10 or 14 foot effective diameter
- Very Low Noise Temperature
- Dual pol feed
- High wind Az/El pedestal
- Optional motorized mount
